Suntazi is a tall firewood rack for those who want plenty of wood within reach and very little floor space taken. Six identical rectangular frames of 30 × 20 mm steel tube stand one behind the other with narrow gaps and are joined by ten smooth round rods with acorn nuts. The top is open and there is no bottom panel: the logs rest on the lower bars of the frames and stay visible through the gaps, which also lets air reach the wood. The rack stands freely next to a stove, fireplace or wall.
Each frame is welded with mitred corners that are ground smooth, so the joints are hard to see. The rack is finished with a fine-texture matt powder coating in Black (RAL 9005), White (RAL 9010), Dark Grey (RAL 7016), Light Grey (RAL 7035) and Bronze; Gold (RAL 1036) is a smooth matt pearl finish. The rods and acorn nuts are coated in the same colour as the frames.
Suntazi is made by FERLIGS, a metalwork company in Riga, Latvia, working since 2017. Our firewood racks are named after places in Latvia — Edole, Ugale, Piltene, Smiltene, Jugla, Kleisti, Rumbula, Pokainu and Suntazi, which takes its name from Suntaži, a village in Vidzeme. Dimensions: 50 × 40 × 150 cm (W × D × H), inner width 44 cm, for logs up to 40 cm long. Firewood not included.
