Jugla is a tall, space-saving firewood rack for the fireplace or stove, or for a covered porch by the house. A vertical steel frame with softly rounded corners holds a full stack of logs in its large lower compartment, while the shelf on top keeps kindling, matches and fire starters within easy reach. The frame is open at the front and back, so logs can be loaded and taken from either side. It stands on a single round steel column that lifts the wood 10 cm off the floor, so air circulates underneath and the floor is easy to sweep.
The frame is bent from 2 mm steel sheet, with the joints welded and ground smooth so it reads as one clean piece. The Ø 12 cm column sits on a flat 3 mm steel base plate (34 × 28 cm) that keeps the rack steady. The whole rack, base included, is finished in one colour of fine-textured matt powder coating. Choose from six colours: Black (RAL 9005), White (RAL 9010), Dark grey (RAL 7016), Light grey (RAL 7035), Gold (RAL 1036, smooth matt pearl finish) and Antique bronze.
Jugla is designed and made by FERLIGS, a metal workshop in Riga, Latvia, making steel products since 2017. Our firewood racks are named after places in Latvia (Edole, Ugale, Piltene, Smiltene), and Jugla takes its name from a lakeside neighbourhood of Riga. Dimensions: 40 × 30 × 80 cm (W × D × H). The lower compartment is approx. 55 cm high and the upper shelf approx. 15 cm; holds logs up to 30 cm long. Firewood not included.
